What happens if someone dies outside of 90 days

Just a query about the death of someone over the 90 days who isn't a Spanish citizen.

depends if they have any funeral arrangement in place otherwise would think that the tanatoria take over and the Spanish acted on in 24 hrs happens with the resulting bill

Repatriation costs are not cheap. Don't die if you have exceeded the 90 day rule.

Thanks for your reply sadly someone who is 97 yrs old can't even get an insurance quote let alone one that is affordable.

Unfortunately someone Will have to pay unless the social security in England will oblige.  Best to check with them.

Happy about paying for cremation, was just a query whether he could be cremated in Spain.
