Wondered if anyone could provide us with some general information on the area of Lijar please, we understand it's only a small place but would like to know what the amenities are like, is it more Spanish or more ex-pats, crime rate and just general feelings and opinions about the place and surrounding areas. Thanks in advance.
Its a tiny Spanish place on top of a mountain and it really doesn't have much there at all...maybe 2 bars and a shop...its been a while since I've been but I shouldn't think it will of changed much!

Thanks for your response Jen jen much appreciated. Do you know much about the surrounding areas and if so what are your thoughts on them? We're hopefully coming out in October and are in the process of setting up some property viewings and just wanted to get a feel for the area. We've been out to Almeria region before but didn't get to Lijar area.
