Hi all looking to start working in Cabrera and need a stable 1gb connection as all work is on central servers CAD 2d/3d work so need to keep refreshing the model   I see digi was highly recommended last year ideally need to have option to have 2x mobile sims with package save the cost of UK roaming

If it’s a 1 Gb/s connection you need, then Digi is the way to go.  You can obviously get mobiles as well which will be discounted if you take fiber with them.

If your in the Digi Plus zone, then you’ll get 10 Gb/s for 25€ a month

As far as I know there is no fibre in Sierra Cabrera, only near the arch bar, according to some messages. Next Communicaciones, now Populoos, provide wireless internet, but not at the speed you require. 20 Mbps download, 5 up, in Antas. https://www.populoos.es/en/fibre/

Moving to Cabrera myself, so I will need to sort this out shortly, too.

@R12CHM

I’ve been informed that Digi do Wireless as well, quite probably on their 5G network - if not it will be 4G wireless

As an aside, I am in the Alpujarras right now, traveling through valleys and twisty mountain roads right up to the highest town in Andalucia - Trevelez, then through more twisty windy roads and valleys to Soportújar - the Town of Witches.  I’ve had a solid 5G signal all the way, no dropouts, minimum 2 bar 5G signal … for the money, Digi is the way to go.

Is this fact or another opinion?

We tried with our mobiles, 4G, no 5G subscription, 10-30 Mbps max.

Is there 5G in Cabrera? Real life experiences please, no opinions or “being informed”.

According to https://xn--coberturamvil-klb.com/andalusia/turre : no 5G in Turre, though that can change any day of course.

I can attest there is 5G in Turre because it was showing on my phone when I was there about a week ago

According to https://www.nperf.com/en/map/ES/2521886.Almeria/168910.Movistar-Movil/signal/?ll=37.11092753871603&lg=-1.9172000885009768&zoom=15

there are a few spots with 5G, with Movistar only.

According to my phone and real life experience, those coverage maps are out of date

Plus that coverage map doesn’t list Digi who are breaking free of Movistar and rolling out their own network
