Hi, please can I get some advice. I have recently bought Spanish plated car that needs Inspeccion Tecnica De Vehiculos. (Currently car does not have an ITV valid)

Can I book the car in for test prior to transfer of ownership?

Do I select (No Periodica) on Online booking site, due to being overdue and change of ownership? 

Also finally, I do not have a Spanish Phone number yet, website does not allow me to continue booking without, can anyone recommend a work around.

Hi! Has anyone on here managed their own household goods removals, as in, hired a huge van and driven themselves over, from UK to Spain? I know a lot of people seem to leave a lot behind and just source new furniture etc in their new foreign home but...I would want to bring nearly all of mine over with me. Post Brexit, I would imagine quite a lot has changed but how much it affects household contents moves, I just don't know. Quotes received from official companies have been high with mentions of having to go through customs with a full inventory, translated documents and potential customs taxes? Pre Brexit, someone I know moved from the UK to France and brought all their household goods over in a rented pantechnicon with ex HGV driver father doing the trip for them? Would this still be possible to Spain or........any help and advice gratefully received! Kind regards, Cath.

Would like to ask about CGT , I know if I buy a house in the same tax year I will have to pay CGT, but dose anyone know if I put a deposit down but do not compete until the 2nd of January  will I not have to pay, 

I am registered at the health centre in Garrucha.  I have now received all my paperwork from the INSS to make it permanent.   I have to take the documents to the health centre.   If I  make an administrative appointment on the salud responde app at the centre where in the building do I go? We’re coming out on Saturday 7th August for a week, all being well. Please can you recommend somewhere for us to stay for the week that isn’t going to cost an arm and a leg?! We’d like a small villa with a pool? Am I being unrealistic? Just the 2 of us.

I'll keep this brief. Can anyone offer this lovely Podenco bitch a home? She has been wandering the campo for about two weeks now. She was very emaciated when we caught her. After some food and a bit of attention, she has settled down. She is very friendly and calm. She loves attention. I would guess that she is about two years old. We think she was abandoned. She is currently at my neighbours' house. The area where we live is sparsely populated, so we know she is not from this area. Neither my neighbour nor I can keep her as we already have dogs. A number of attempts have been made to contact animal shelters, but they are either not interested or do not reply. If we cannot find a home for her soon, we will have to turn her over to the police and there's only one end to that.

I am new to the forum so first off let me just say hello to all.  We visit Mojacar on the 12th of August for two weeks. we self cater in a quiet part of the north end of the playa near the bridge to Garucha. We have been several times before and love the area. We have 2 children 8 and 10 who are seriously looking forward to it. The trip was booked at the end of last year as we knew vaccination was imminent and we thought the world would be a lot more settled by then – seems like we were half right. 

Reading the forum it sounds like the area is busy as it has lots of Spanish tourists. Everything sounds like it’s up and running so all good.

my question is if we take a antigen test 72 hours prior to leaving and we should fail it… What is the protocol? I have read several instances where people on the islands, the Balearics, get sent to an almost prison like hotel for 10 nights. When I tried to call my insurance and ask the question they were less clear but suggested that they would put us up in ‘like accommodation’ with no mention of hotels. However the lady in the phone sounded clueless and really couldn’t help.

so, does anybody know what the actual protocol is in the area. Is it a hotel and if so does anyone know where it is and what the treatment is like? does anyone know of anyone that has gone through this recently? From what I’ve read with the Majorca hotels it is truly abysmal.

Dear lovely people of Mojacar, i have finally managed to get back after nearly 2 years and come back to a load of chores one being cutting the hedge. I just wanted to know if anyone knew if there is any tool hire place nearby.

Does anyone know why Carillos bar in Almanzora is closed and how long it will be closed for?
