A young girl around 20 years old just tried to mug me in my front garden… she said she was looking for work then tried to steal my watch!! I grabbed her and chucked her out she ran and got into a black car maybe a Fiat punto!! The man driving had a beard and sun glasses. She had long dark hair cream jacket black leggings and white trainers and spoke Spainsh !!! Keep your eyes open.

Thanks for this information, a friend of mine only last week had a similar experience. In that instance too they tried to steal his watch and wallet. This incident happened in Los Gallados. So echoing your words we need to be very aware. Thanks again.

That’s disgraceful. Complain to the Town Hall. That’s not on at all.

Policia Local are controlled by the ayuntamiento in Cuevas de Almazora, you need to contact them. I’m not assuming anything, but if your Spanish isn’t fluent please use a translator, preferably a Spanish person who knows the system.

You shouldn’t have to put up with that.

The police will do nothing, years ago I and 4 other ladies were attacked by the same man and the police did nothing, you can go and denounce him/her at the police station, its a waste of time. My neighbour had a full on burglary where as they lived in his house for 4 days whilst he was in the UK, they loaded up a van with everything they came back to a virtually empty house, and the police did nothing they didn't even come out, so he complained, then he went to the town hall. and the response was The police wont come out unless blood has been spilt.

I am sorry this has happened to you, but in my experience you will get no joy from the police, or the town hall.

From what i read in the papers the UK police don't do anything either.  They are all so overstretched and scared stiff of the woke brigade!

Yes Lyn you are 100 per cent  right. The police are so far stretched it makes you think your on your own so to speak. I have heard many stories of this calibre.
