We have an appointment at the town hall in Vera next Wednesday to apply for our padrón certificate. Wondering if anyone could put me in touch with someone that could accompany us and assist us with translation, cheers Jackie
you should be able to do this without an interpretor just make sure you take your passports and evidence of your address i.e. rental contract or deeds. the padron itself only lasts for 3 months and then if you need it for any purchases you'd need to just ask for a new one. the actual registration lasts for 5 years and then must be renewed.
It is safer to take a translator with you because they insisted on one when we went for padron. Call Paula, she deals with the padron regularly and is very professional. Not expensive. 627 423 675. I think I would rather play it safe in that case and take someone who can help us with the translation as we are not fully conversant in Spanish yet. I have contacted Paula and she is free to assist us on the day of our appointment so thank you for giving me her details.
