Hello everyone, my name is Kevin, my friends call me Kev or Kevvy, I'm taking the massive step of up sticks and moving just bring me and a case to Vera very soon, just waiting on the house sale, I want to change my life its too fast as a driving instructor, I don't get time to do anything and I want to eat healthy walk, buy a motorcycle and ride, I want to have to to meet people and have a coffee and talk,

I've got a mountain to climb as I do not even speak Spanish, but this move is one of the most important things and like everything else I've achieved I will learn Spanish.

hope to meets some of you soon

Kev

Hola,

We live between our 2 properties in Mojacar and Puerto Lumbreras but visited The Blue Parrot bar to hear an acquaintance entertain. Stacked out with Brits and staff & clients seemed really hospitable & food reasonably priced. Might be a place to try although not our scene. Seemed more companionable than Mojacar.

Every happiness on your new land and, as we always advise, rent before you buy; gives you a chance to look around and explore your options. Ignore estate agent spiel, property market going nowhere. Bank repossessions and those seeking to return to UK-glut on market.

Hi there,

When you arrive we shall already be in Croatia in our motorhome. We are inveterate travellers but hopefully meet up when we return in New Year.

If we can help with any queries then feel free.

Best Wishes & good luck.

You should be able to find a nice rental in Vera, maybe better still, Vera Playa just a few kms down the road.

Vera playa is very beach orientated, lovely long boardwalks, even a naturist section, clothing optional up to 8pm when clothes must be worn.

Theres a nice Saturday night market, your just up or down the road from Villaricos, Garrucha, Mojacar.

Lots of lovely small bars, restaurants etc where you can grab an excellent yet cheap coffee.

Nice big supermarket on the edge of town, its as lively as you want to make it and not too far from the A7/E15 moto/autovia motorway that'll take you to Almeria, geanada etc in the south or murcia, alicante etc oop north.

You'll need some kind of funding as thinking you might get a job to help might be dreaming a bit, the Spanish economy hasnt recovered that much.

As doctor bob mentioned, theres still lots of property at reasonable prices.

Best of.

Hoping to move there soon. Got a viewing in Las Marinas on Wednesday. Done all my research on the area. 10 minute walk along the paseo to Garrucha. 10 minute walk to The Bistro and Millionares. Sorted !

We´d like to get in touch with any clubs, groups etc. to ease our way into life there. TIA
