Hi folks,  I am a pensioner, I now have my TIE card.  Previous to this I managed to register with a doctor in Garrucha (I live in Vera).  I have a health number but no health card,  the health centre told me in Aprilit would be sent in the post,  it's a 'no show'. Each time I enter my details into the salud Andalusia app, it doesn't recognise me.  The salud responde app has my details but keeps deleting my phone number (Spanish number)

I now need to register my S1 with the INSS.  I have looked on the sede.es site but it's had an upgrade and the information I found doesn't appear to be there now. Any assistance would be much appreciated.   Cheers Karen

Hi, I had the same problem when I registered at the Turre health centre.I filled the same papers in about four times and each time they said the card would be in the post(and it didnt arrive) In the end I had to get a fluent spanish speaker to do it  and she said she found it hard going. So keep going in and reminding them, you will get there in the end.If you have the NUHSA No that is half the battle.

Hi , I'm not sure if it works the same in Almeria but I had to go to the INSS office in Baza as I'm in Granada province were my paperwork was processed electronically and we have been told that our cards will be with us by post with in 2 weeks. We could not do any of this before receiving our Residencia Cards (TIE).

Also NHS in UK is mis informing pensioners with regard to S1 form. I was told to apply for mine 1 month before leaving UK and that I would be able to get put on the Spanish system by following the print out our the bottom of the form. Yes this works if you are in possession of your residencia card.

If you have an S1 form you can not hold a GHIC card.

I had to phone NHS UK and after a lengh phone call they hung up on me.

I applied via .guv.uk for the ghic and lied about my move date to be given a ghic valid until the new date I had entered just so we could get our prescription papers .

We completed all our Residencia and medical this week so can now relax for a few days before we start the process to change drivers license and car plates and I thought doing all this in France was hard looking back it was a piece of cake. We may have got things done a bit quicker if our solicitors office had not wasted our time (3 months) for doing our registrations then at the 12 hour telling us they do not deal with Granada only Almeria and that we need €10,000 in the bank, not necessarily true ours went through based on our UK pensions. So beware double check and we used a private company to put our papers through and a translator was provide for the visit for fingerprinting. Good luck every body. Stay safe.
