Is property selling at the moment? Thinking of selling our place but unable to travel at the moment. Could it be done online through the Estate Agent?
1. You have various choices (i) Give Power-of-Attorney to your Estate Agent and he/she can sell and make decisions for you. or (ii) Travel to Spain and engage the Estate Agent.
2. Is property selling? I don't know, but if your property is not put on the market it won't be sold. (Apologies for stating the obvious).
3. What price will your property sell for? This is where you have to make decisions. I don't know when you bought, what state your property is in and coming up to Brexit he noose is tightening and probably getting tighter again with Covid. It will be interesting to see how things pan out in the next year+.
4. No offence is meant by me and I wish you only the best.

Friend of mine is an Estate Agent in Vera; she says things are slow - very slow, but property IS selling.

Yes property is selling, a bit slow for Brits but for other EU peeps it is going on,
can you sell without being there, yes, engage an agent/advertise/and wait,if you get a serious buyer then you either come over or as Matthew has said give power of attorney to a reliable solicitor

Yes but the OBR is forecasting a 20% drop in house prices in U.K. by October 2021 - be careful.

Predictions of doom and gloom have been going on since Brexit and nowt,

Yes I think we are all realising since Lockdown that our beautiful gardens here in the
UK have kept us sane, we have all delighted in the sounds of nature around us, and we are all so lucky to live where we live.

In the rural Canterbury area a mid sized detatched bungalow next door to me has just sold for £390,000 and was on the market for just 2 weeks, other properties are selling fast,as I said, due to covid, people want out of big city areas, they realise they can work at home etc
I agree with you but the consequences of COVID-19 and Brexit have not yet come into play. Once the Chancellor withdraws the furlough scheme the impact will become clearer.
