Hi all, does anyone know when they will be finishing the road between vera & las buganvillas? We where over 3 months ago and they where still working and last week they have gone off site, no workman nor machines?

They started it over 2 years ago. They work on it when money is available to fund the work

Hi All

I attended the Vera Playa Friends Resident's Association meeting recently in which this (amongst other topics) was discussed.

First of all the works that were seen in the recent months were the laying of gas pipe lines.

Second, the delay has been due to the Almeria Junta delaying the signing off on the project and hence not providing the funds. The road from Las Bunganvillas to Villericos belongs to the Almeria Junta and not Vera. However the Mayor of Vera has said he will go ahead despite not receiving all the funding.

On another topic, the Vera council has already embarked on replacing street lights with LED lights, unfortunately the area of Las Bunganvillas is privately owned and therefore the council can't do anything about those lights.

If anybody is interested I can forward the minutes from the meeting also if you want I can let you know when the next meeting will be (not yet decided). This association is registered with the Vera council and is chaired by one of the councillors unfortunately it is conducted mostly in Spanish but there is normally a lady there who does translate.
