Not sure if this will help you, but it works for me. but you will need your NIE number.

I get a email asking for payment from here.

https://hacienda.dipalme.org

they add a link to make any outstanding payments. ie; Basura, yearly council tax etc.

if you hold a Halifax Clarity card, payment can be made in euro's, with all the normal security checks, ie code to your mobile etc.

I received the e mail, followed link but couldn,t open as it asked for NIF number as password. Tried my NIE number but failed. Any help appreciated.

The link in my email will not work, as it only applies to me. Look for a link for new registration, and work through it. i appreciate the Spanish online issues. It has taken me some 3 months to get back into my Endesa electric account, after being locked out, even after 3 emails to Endesa. in the end i registered with the same details, and it worked. talk about driving me around the bend!!!

Ps; there are cheaper electrical supplies then Endesa, some as much as over 30%, you will need your latest bill to forward to the companies, and they will get back to you with there costs.

Try the virtual office on Vera town hall website. I managed to pay our car tax on it, so I imagine you can pay basura bill too.

On a more basic level what is " Basura” is it the non-resident tax by any chance?

When yo are here go to the office in Garrucha with all your details . The office is called Deputation of Almería & is close to the Police Local office under the terrace by the Auntamiento .

" Basura” is for the refuse collection, this as a norm is paid every six months.
