CARAVANS MUST LEGALIZE THEIR SOLAR PANELS, AWNINGS, SATELLITE DISHES AND BIKE RACKS
On the 4th of August 2022, the final approval of the seventh revision of the Vehicle Reform Manual was published in the Official State Bulletin (BOE).
Who is affected by these measured?
- Caravans, motorhomes, and mobile homes.
What is the process of getting them legalized?
- The vehicle must be brought to an ITV station to make the amendments, whether the ITV is in date or not.
- It is necessary to demonstrate that the components were installed before 11/11/2022, either through invoices for the installed item, certificates from the workshop where the installation took place, manufacturer's certificate, or declaration of responsibility signed by the owner of the vehicle who requested the installation.
- The explanations of what is necessary to install are established by the autonomous communities, we attach the section in which this appears.
- This can be done at any of our 6 stations (Torre Pacheco, Lorca, Molina de Segura, Mazarrón, San Pedro del Pinatar or Cobatillas).
- The parts need to be in good condition, as shipped from the factory, and correctly placed on the vehicle, to avoid the risk of detachment.
- If the item is from after 11/11/2022 or the installation was performed after said date, it can be noted by means of a reform with a certificate, according to the manual of non-periodic inspections (the most common annotations could be a topic for future publication), but they cannot be installed straight off like before.
