Hello Jackie,

There is no bus service from Vera to La Algarrobina (I live here) but taxi is cheap, plus lots of nice people live here who could help you with lifts. I have seen Mercadona's vans delivering, but I think your food requirement is something like 50 euros for free delivery.

Kind regards,

Patricia

hello patricia,

thank you so much for the information my partner will be flying out to look at the rented property in la algarrobina as we move over permanently in april.  we were just worried about our elderly parents visiting for transport, but It is good to know people are really friendly.  how long would it take to walk to vera from there??

regards

jackie

Hi Jackie,

It takes literally 5 minutes to drive to Lidl supermarket from La Ribina but I know it is quite a hard walk to do into town, about 45 minutes and is not easy (flat) it looks a short distance but it is sort of uphill, and for elderly people, o.k. if they are used to walking that should be a nice little amble on a nice day.I know some people who taxi people around so if you ask Jan to give you my e mail address I can put you in touch.

Kind regards,

Patricia

Hi patricia,

have really appreciated your information and the property we wanted to rent apparently is now not available until may which does not suit us b is there many ex pats there and do you feel isolated there or is it just the perfect place with everything close at hand., she trying to get an idea of the area.  my partner will be flying over next week to take a look around.

await reply.

regards

jackie

Hi Jackie,

Well, I do not know really what you want to know. The health centre is five minutes drive away as are all the main things you need like supermarkets, post office, Yes La Algarrobina is a little hamlet of private villas, very quiet and we all look after each other, but do not live in each other's pockets, I do know of places here that are for sale, but are you looking for long term rental? There is a lovely villa which is just coming to the end of long term rental.

Kind regards,

Patricia

Hi patricia,

it so helpful the information you have sent me and initially we wanted to long term rent before buying to make sure we liked the area, and my partner is coming over next week to view a villa that is for sale but will do rent to buy, but if you know of another property that is coming up for long term rent we would be very interested and if it is not too much trouble do you have any other information on it like a contact number etc. do not wish to put you to too much trouble.

kindest regards

jackie
