Some people seem to get along fine with them but I bought latest version from Amazon and it was buffering all the time (even with fibre and over 100mbps) so I sent it back to Amazon.

We have 2 Firesticks (not the 4K) and both work well.  We have 100Mbps fibre optic. We get occasional buffering at busy times (normally from about 9:30pm).  I think a lot depends on the servers used by your IPTV suppliers, whether you empty the cache on the APP regularly (Firesticks have a very small internal memory and the cache can fill quite quickly), restart the router and Firestick regularly (I do it every day) and take off any unused APPS.

So, in answer to your question, yes they do work in Spain but you need good, reliable internet, a good IPTV system and regular maintenance.

We have 2 they work brilliantly.  They are the 4k version, I think the firestick lite is no so good.  We also have an android box.  Occasionally buffering but nothing that causes a problem.

We've had our firestick for about two years now, we get 'up to 25 Mbps. I don't know about emptying the cache, or any technical stuff, we just switch on and and watch out TV, and we've never had any problems, including buffering!

I would be interested in replies to this question.  Am looking for a company which does a package deal with 100mg internet, mobile phones, tablets, computer and UK tv.  At the moment I have internet package which includes the  devices as mentioned above but a separate tv provider (we bought our own box for this).  But if anything goes wrong with the tv they blame the internet people and vice versa.  We've been without tv for 3, days now although the internet and wifi are ok.

Hi Lyn,

Could you be a little more specific in what you require. I understand from your post that you already have an internet service provider but not too reliable when it comes to TV.

We used to have all sorts of problems with the tv as most providers are not very reliable during peak summer months and streaming tv is hit and miss even though each one is better than the other one lol.

What we done to alleviate this problem was as follows,

Get online to DIGIMOBIL.

Contract the 4g unlimited data, minutes and text sim card for €25 a month.

Much better with 4g than any fixed broadband package.

Then assuming you have a tablet or phone with hotspot capabilities, pop the sim card in(must be an unlocked device) I phones always are, its the law after 3 months contract. Download a free VPN and set the country to Uk. Then select your tv stick or smart tv and connect to your network for the hotspot. That way you can watch all the British tv you want free of contract. If you want Sky, get a Nowtv subscription for movies entertainment or sport. Also a firestick is an essential good purchase as you can get loads of tv apps online to watch and turns a normal tv into a smart tv.

Sounds like a faff but its very easy.

Alternatively you can torrent download your television shows, all the latest and new American series, way ahead of Britain. Cant tell you how to do that as its a little naughty but if you PM me i will tell you how to do it. To be honest all we watch now on terrestrial tv is the news as there is so much choice out there.

Hope i have not frazzled your brain with all that :)

any questions send me a message and will explain a bit more,

Regards,

Kev.
