Hi all I am looking at purchasing a 32" smart TV for my apartment in Vera Playa. Any idea as to the best place to go and what price I am looking at paying.

Thanks in advance

We bought a new 32" JVC TV from Euronics in Garrucha (Carr. de Garrucha, 7, 04621 Las Marinas, Almería, Spain) I think it was just over €200, Francisco is excellent and speaks very good English, we buy all our electrical goods from him, in fact we have a Fridge/Freezer on order from him for when we get back to Mojácar in September.

The Smart bit of a Smart TV is not usually that good. Better off with a normal tv and plugging a firestick into it

We have a FireStick plugged into our JVC and run it through a VPN but the buffering is absolutely atrocious. Whether this is because the VPN is crap I don’t know but we will be changing things when we get back.

You should only need the vpn if you are watching iPlayer or ITV hub etc. you shouldn’t need it for Netflix or IPTV services as it will slow your internet speed and if you are streaming try to avoid FHD streams

That is exactly what we use it for, watching BBC & ITV, hence the VPN but I’m hoping there is an alternative because the VPN has proven to be rubbish!

Get a subscription from an IPTV provider - there are plenty out there- they usually have 7 day catchup and +1 channels as well as huge libraries of movies and Series. The one I use is £80 a year but there are others cheaper than that and some are more local and you can also use it at home as well

Can you recommend an IPTV provider, I don’t mind paying an annual subscription but a holiday setup would be more practical.

I use one called EQD but I pay an annual sub - I think the least they do now is 3 months because they said 1 month wasn’t worth doing - if you want to speak to them pm me your email and I’ll get them to contact you
