Hi

Does anyone have any experience of using Amazon in Spain ? Just wondering if the delivery service is as good as in UK ? Do you have to use a pick up point or can it be delivered to home address?

Many thanks everyone .

Amazon isn't the problem here but the couriers, nearly two months waiting for an item to be delivered, never again.

Rachael

You can use Amazon ES as well as UK with your UK account. With ES you can select local pick up points or delivery to your address.

Yes I have had the same problem."I am at Mora oil, come and collect your parcel".

Do not purchase anything from Amazon if you are expecting a valid guarantee. I purchased a Satnav that failed after six months and there is no way  of contacting Amazon.

Please spread the word.

Unless you live within a village or town, you are best arranging a pick-up point as the package service company won't deliver as a rule, if you're at a rural address.  I had noproblem getting a parcel delivered to  street in Turre but to my cortijo  about 15 Km from Sorbas  with this company that Amazon use (SEUR, unfortunately also used by M & S) they made every excuse not to deliver.

About returning goods, I had to return a duvet to Amazon.uk a couple of years ago and was able to make contact  and explain the problem via their Chat.  I even received the second duvet before they received the returned faulty item so I was more than satisfied.

Hi, I have used Amazon a lot and in general they have been good. I have used Amazon here, UK and Germany. I have even returned an item at the correos with no problem. I usually have them delivered to a collection address but have had quite a bit delivered to home address. Luckily we have found the couriers to be ok but we live close to a village.

Give it a go!

When you are placing an order with Amazon.es, you register your address if you are a new customer and they then want to know if you are opting for home delivery.or a pick-up point.  If you opt for the pick-up point, they show you the options ie: the closest to your home address.  My postal address gives me options of Sorbas, Campohermoso, Carboneras or Vera, in that order, usually a Post Office, but not always.  Not quite sure where the one in Vera is, but you might have Mojacar or Garrucha as alternatives.  When you go to pick up the package ( and Amazon will inform you by email when it arrives) you must take the parcel reference number and your ID with you to collect it.
