Yes - there is one lady there who speaks English, that being said, they are all very helpful there and will put through the Padrón with no problems.

Living in Vera and having registered for the Padrón at Vera, I can tell you that you will need your passports / NIE (if you have), copy of rental contract, if you are renting, or proof if ownership of property if not.  If you are renting, you will also need a copy of owners DNI and I believe the certificado de Habitación - again, if you are renting, your rental agency will already have these things on file and will provide them to you.  These last two are a peculiarity of Ayuntamiento de Vera

Our landlord is British so no DNI but his NIE is mentioned in the Rental contract. Our padron was dealt with in Roquetas last June and it was not an issue although we spoke little Spanish. We are improving (!) and most local people respond well once they see you are patient and trying to speak their language.

They do indeed respond well.

Ayuntamiento de Vera seems to have different requirements to Mojácar, Garrucha, Roquetas etc.  Our landlords DNI was mentioned in the contract, but they still insisted on a copy of his DNI document and the other certificate.   As it was am3 had both of these on file and were not surprised when we appeared and asked for them.

Now we did our Padrón in Vera September 2017, so it’s possible they have since relaxed that requirement .....

Hi Angela - we didn’t have to provide any utility bills - just the signed rental contract, copy of landlords DNI and the other certificate.

If your agency rents places within the Ayuntamiento de Vera catchment they will be able to provide the documentation you need because they’ll be used to being asked for it

Once you are on the Padron is simple.  When we want to renew we just take our original, you are on their computer they look you up.print off a new copy and at no expence.  Good luck I always take my rental contract just in case but they don't ask for them after the first time.  Hi
