Hi,  me and my wife are hoping to move over to Spain in January but we're just hitting brick wall after brick wall.  We've sold our house and need someone to help with the move and with the visa process.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks

Steve and Sally Thomas

there does not seem to be any business set up yet to assist in the new rules to move to Spain, first to get the Visa you have to apply in person to the Spanish embassy in the UK which seems to be a nightmare as reported by others.  to get the visa you have to satisfy lots of different rules for finance and health and you are not allowed to work here.  the move of your stuff involves customs now so you need a company that will do all the paperwork for you for that.

If you have sold your house already there are also tax problems you may encounter.

I wish you lots of luck but it will not be a very easy thing to do now as it was before.

Hi Steve,

My wife and I are currently going through the NLV process and have our appointment booked at the Manchester Embassy in December. We are hoping to move over to to Spain in Feb.

We have completed all the requirements our self. There are Companys out there who will help with the paperwork ect. But they are asking alot of money.

There is alot of hoops to jump through which I could help you with off the forum.

We are doing it a different way around, we are using a spanish solicitor with power of attorney to do all the paperwork and applications, buying an extremely cheap apartment (20000€) to live in to satisfy other requirements and use as a base to find what we want.

It's going very smoothly at the moment.
