Hi 

I moved to Turre 6 months ago, and am thoroughly enjoying it. I have found the best way to get involved is to  join the local forums on Facebook. Lots of information on groups to join. There is a very informative and friendly  group at the Rose + Crown in Mojacar, they meet weekly. It's a nice way to get to know newbies. if you want to meet up for coffee for a chat just let me know.

Your post is a few weeks old now, but only just seen it. How did you get on?

I moved to Vera Playa in mid-December, two days later a cat walked in and took over, Good job I like cats!

Did you manage to get a NIE?

Yes I did get an NIE but no such luck getting padrón at Vera town hall. They said I didn't have enough paperwork. They wanted a longer lease which I can get since I'm staying another 7 months in this flat from April to October but they also want a copy of the owners NIE. Not so easy to get.

I've just seen your reply there. How are you doing? Have you found some things to do? I've recently heard that there is a salsa class at Garrucha on a Wednesday night and a Spanish class is starting at Mojácar on Wednesday 15 February at 6pm.

I was intending to go to both of these. Would you be interested?
