Interesting places to visit

Good morning all, It's the last week of my visit to Vera this time, done all of the jobs that were needed  in the apartment and looking at getting out and about, especially as the weather in going to be unsettled for the next few days. 

We tend to go to the same places all the time, all of the usual ones,  so I would like to do some discovery trips and wonder if anybody can recommend any interesting towns or villages that are worth a visit. 

Any recommendations?
