1. We updated our aircon units earlier this year not for heating but to reduce electric bills for the summer (we added a timer to each too). The new units are easier on electricity than the older ones. However, for the cold of winter we just depend on electric oil heaters and use the aircon heat facility just for a blast of instant heat if we need it.
2. Might do you no harm to toddle over to Me and Mrs Jones (near Bankía) and get suitable duvets for the rest of the winter and spring. Only thing, you'll include siesta with your night's sleep.
3. A decent brisk walk per day will keep the blood circulating a bit better too.
4. A decent drop of Irish whiskey splashed into a heated glass at 10.00pm and add a teaspoonful of Irish honey and stir for a moment or two before adding a good slice of lemon studded with about five cloves, then fill with some boiling water leaving the spoon in the glass in case it shatters. Drink slowly, enjoy and your partner will wrap around you to acquire some body heat. (Have one a day and you might qualify for an Irish Passport and not worry about Brexit, I jest . . . )
