Hi
I have heard that Playa Vera has a nudist beach and area. I have a young family is it something that can be avoided? Is it better to head up for a more family orientation location?
Kind regards
Rob

Easily avoided. Lots of textile beach before you get there. But we love it!
Hi Rob,
I live in Mojacar Playa. Sometimes I find myself at Vera Playa. With hand on heart I can honestly say I've seen much more people dressed there than naked. But, it is a designated nudist beach. Last year I did see a male nudist there save for a pair of wellies while he washed his car.

Thanks
Sound good for my children and as long we stay in the main stream area will avoid nudiest areas?
Thanks
Rob
There is a Naturist hotel built 20+yrs ago and in front of it is a long stretch of beach for naturist families, however if yo just want a normal beach then Vera beach on the left hand side all the way to Villaricos is for normal swim wear, although nowadays most women do not wear tops, that went out for some about 30 yrs ago.
If in doubt keep out, Villaricos is black sand, gravel , lovely coves with crystal clear waters a bit further past Villaricos then of course there is StJaun decLos Torreros, lovel yellow sand, beach bars eats, not touristy like Mojacar mostly families.

Hi Rob
We also looked in Vera Playa and initially were not aware of the naturist beach. It is a designated area so not something you just walk into. We did buy in Vera Playa opposite a fantastic textile beach by the Millionaires Bar and Bistro restaurant called Playa Las Marinas - Bolaga, great space for kids so you might want to look there.

Long live the Millionaires Bar......if you're feeling like some traditional English, they do a wonderful egg and chips (easily satisfied☺️)
Dear Rob.
Wy do you think a naturist beach is unfriendly to a young family? If you would experience it, you would feel that is infact the most family friendly environment you could imagine. Naturists are by far the most friendly people, especially towards children. Your knowledge about naturisme is clearly biased. Young Children do not even notice that people are naked. For them it is the most naturally state of mind. Do not think there is sexual abuse there. Naturist are protective towards each other, and their environment. More than on a textile beach, they must maintain good relations with the authorities. Otherwise it would have bean ceased. You are expressing a belief here with a negative connotation towards naturism. With such statements you maintain the story that naturism equals a sex orgy. Puritainism reigns these days. Look around you, to what it leads with religions that see every dash of bare skin as a sin.

Bravo Eric, well written. We've been bringing our sons to Vera Playa (Nudist section) since they were babies. It's a wholesome environment, more so than the textile section..
I believe that Rob might feel more comfortable in Benidorm.
