Any suggestions for someone decent for a repair to air conditioning unit obviously reasonably charges and needs to speak English

Have you cleaned all filters etc? Worth doing first. And if it is an old one, might be worth changing to a new one which would be much more efficient, and usually comes with removal of old and fitting (200 or so) of new.

I can recommend Sol Air based in Mojacar. Ross and Dani are very reliable and trustworthy and I used them to replace an air conditioning unit and a burst hot water tank. Don’t have their phone numbers to hand but look up on Google or Facebook.

To be honest I didn't know that they had any serviceable parts thanks for the suggestion

We has our AC upgraded by DCM Mojacar. Very satisfied with them.

Hi after my post and the overwhelming response I got 😂 -one!  That one I did get was for a company in Albox ( over an hour away from Vera Playa called then and found they were to busy to come down to me).

I did some searching and and after many phone calls with not much hope on the horizon  I spoke with a lovely person in Digitech (Tamara) explained my problem needed a service or replacement 🤔. She was able to give me an appointment.

On the day of two very friendly English chaps arrived on time and were able to solve my problem,  my remote was  banjaxed. They had a universal one the were able to sell me problem solved.

They also did a service, rinsed our the filters which I could have done but also checked the gas levels which I could have deffo could  not have  done. My would recommend you give them a try. As Bob2003 said. Why did you find their service poor?

Sol air are coming out today to give me a price for the repair. When I went to DCM they said someone would call and make an appointment within the week. They also wanted paying for a service but had no idea if it would fix the problem. They did try to get out the evening before we went home but by that time we were having a last meal. Good to know that others are having a better experience it gives a more balanced view

Last post on this subject from me, Solair came on time checked various things and cleaned filter. Fortunately it was a simple repair and cost me about half what DCM wanted so I am well pleased
