Does anyone have experience of the Moors and Christian festival in Vera?

This will be our first year out and I known it will be held on 8th June and the neighbouring Mojacar festival on 15-16th June but we have friends coming over in time for the Vera one and I would like all of us to experience it.

Things like where actually is the procession in Vera and what times?

Does anything happen on the Vera beaches? (We have seen the horses being exercised early morning on the Las Marinas -Bolaga beach near Laguna before)?

The procession commences at 19:00 and goes through Vera Pueblo, up Calle Mayor, through Plaza Mayor, around the town and ends up back at Plaza Mayor (I believe) ... guess I better find out - we are participating in the desfile this year as Moros ......
