Hi everyone !     I am a newbie to this site so Hello everyone from a depressing UK !

I hve always wanted to retire to Spain and I have recently retired in the middle of a global pandemic !   

because of the pandemic and Brexit, can I ask what effect have these teo factors have had on property prices in Vera Playa ? are ex-pats leaving to come back to the UK?

given the fact that travel is out of the question at the moment i would expect the answer to be not many.  the question you have to ask yourself is whether you can satisfy all the criteria now to come to live in Spain and then look to see if there are any properties available at the price you want to pay.  but the advice will always be to rent first.

I think the other question is what sort of property are you looking for?

The sort of places I was/am looking at are mostly aimed at the summer beach rental season. I'm seeing many places being put up for sale. Many are reducing prices.  Some used to be on AirBnb or other websites for short term rentals. Anybody who needs that rental income to pay the mortgage is feeling pain. Hotels or apartments. 

OTOH the places in town that are aimed more at long term residents aren't dropping in price. At least not to the same extent.
