Life Is too short to argue about this.  Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.  Just how it was written ruffled feathers. Let’s move on.  Main thing is everyone is safe and healthy.

I got stuck in London when I should have been in my Spanish home. To tell you the truth, since we first went into lockdown, which my partner and I have fully complied to, I have seen nothing but groups of mainly young people getting together, treating every day as a holiday, in parks, along the canal and in houses - certainly not respecting social distancing in any way. Most of them apparently believe the CoronaVirus is a conspiracy to keep us all indoors while the government gets up to mischief! There have even been group protests against the restrictions!

So yes, I can see with my own eyes the many ‘idiots’ who will not comply as well as the misguided families who think it’s alright to go and have a cuppa with poor ol’ nan when they could possibly be bringing her the virus. 

The consequences are that restrictions will still need to be in place in the U.K., that the Spanish will favour other countries before the U.K. citizens being allowed to travel to Spain, I fear, as our daily fatalities haven’t dropped as much as they could have done, had everyone complied.

I can’t wait to come back to Spain, and I don’t care how long I have to quarantine once there!

Only a small percentage are doing that , may I add also in Spain too and France and many other countries. Are cases have gone done in uk  also if you follow rules it will be ok a vaccine is a long way off and no one knows if it will work ..and no one can go on like this forever most countries are going to find it tough economy wise , and no one wants any more jobs to be lost  tourism is one of Spain’s biggest incomes.  If people are sensible it’s fine and we all need to move on even if slowly

Why don't people just answer the questions without trying to make political points 

We are in the situation. Have sold our house in the UK and should have been already enjoying our retirement in Spain, in Almeria region. It’s been very difficult time for us. Already self isolated for 3 months and only rarely out for food shopping maintains social distance and all precautions. I think the Spanish authorities  have been very serious and strict and must have thought very carefully before making the de idiom to open the borders. 

We are looking forward to travel to Spain maybe early August.

We have just booked our ferry 05/07 to Santander.  We was going to drive all the way to stay isolated in the car but where France might do the 14 days quarantine we thought ferry and booked cabin which we will stay in for the trip.  We will also isolate 14 days in Spain even if it has been lifted.  Can’t wait to be in Vera playa I.
