How do you get to Granada from Vera Playa.  I presume it’s a bus but is our starting point Vera or Mojacar.  Is it a two step journey Mojacar/Vera to Almeria then Almeria to Granada.  Where do you board the bus on each leg and where do you  arrive.  Google searches let me buy tickets from Alsa but there is not much other info.

Hi there. The bus goes from the bus station across the road from Lidl in Vera. You travel to Almeria bus station and change there for Granada bus station. One bus from Vera goes more or less direct to Almeria, but another takes much longer, calling at more stops, so check the Alsa timetable.

When you get to Granada bus station there are taxis and bus stops on the main road.

I've done the return journey twice and it does take a good while, bearing in mind the wait at Almeria for the Granada connection. There's a decent restaurant there.

Hope this helps.

Thank you all for good advice.  All sorted but was wondering if Almeria was a nice town worth spending a couple of days?  (We are planning a Granada, Cordoba, Seville trip by public transport and will inevitably end up in Almeria again).

you can visit the castle and the civil war underground bunkers.  there is a nice area of rambla road with shops and bars to wander along and some reasonable shopping centres.  If you go out to Almerimar there is a lovely marina area and at Roquetas del Mar they have an Aquarium.

Certainly sounds worth the effort. Will research the places you mention - many thanks
