Hi everyone, does anyone have their UK state pension paid into a UK bank and then sent weekly/monthly by standing order to transferwise and if so have you had any problems? I am not interested in sending it directly to my Spanish account as I feel I can get a better rate with ¨Wise¨.  Thank you.

Not had any issues. Mine goes directly into Spanish account, my wife’s into our Uk account, as we have interests in Uk. However, the rate I get is better on a like to like basis, so it’s personal choice. Her civil service pension goes into the Spanish account, and very good rate.

Hi.

That is what we do. Then we can control the conversion rate. If it goes direct from bank to bank it is usually below market. WISE are really cheap in comparison.

Get it paid in pounds to your Wise account then convert it to euros, simples.

The last payment I received directly to my Spanish account, the rate was 1.22, so a very good rate.

Never had any problems at all.  Every month my husband and I drink ours over when the rate is good as it fluctuates every day

Thanks everyone. I´ve used wise for years and never had problems but never before used a standing order, always done it when I needed to. These answers have reassured me and I will set up a standing order.   Thanks again.
