Hi, How easy is it to get residency? We're coming out again for a few weeks in February and I'd like to get the ball rolling with back account etc, where do you suggest we start please?

I’m guessing you’ve got EU passports, in which case the answer is “quite easy”

All you need is either a place you own, or a place that you rent for at least 6 months (long term rental) and are on the Padrón.

You’ll need a certificado de empadronamiento less than 3 months old, proof of health cover and proof of about 9.050€ available to you.  You can then make application for residencia.

If, however, by some cruel twist of fate you are on British passports, the answer is “a lot more difficult and can’t be done from here in Spain”
