Hi everyone would be grateful for thoughts on buying or not buying in spain now that I can only spend 90 day in 180. Don't the eu realise that most ex pats are of retirement and that once they pass on and no replacements full time that their economy with hit an even worse situation.  Thanks David

Only you can make that decision. But don’t blame the EU. Blame anyone that voted for Brexit.

Brits make up a small proportion of people living here - at one time there were 320.000 British migrants here, I believe that number has dropped, but they are far far outnumbered by the 980.000 Romanians and well over 1.000.000 Moroccans.  Latin / South Americans make up the third largest migrant group.

The “threat” of Brit’s no longer coming to Europe is a hollow one as there will be those that come that are much much wealthier by necessity to get the visa

Even before Brexit I would have advised you to come to Spain especially in the off season and rent. Buying murders your financial resources and can lead to stress etc in running the property. Rent as good a place as you can in the off season near the beach and shops and you can't go wrong. Ensure you have  sea and mountain views and you can't ask for much more.

Enjoy your daily glasses of tino verano on the terrace at lunchtime with some new friends and take a walk along the beaches in the evening and take in all the fresh air. Quality time is precious and enjoy it.
