Hi guys,

I'm fully vaccinated and about to fly to back to the UK in about 36 hours.

I've got an Antigen test booked at Malaga airport about 3 hours before I fly - but I'm slightly worried that the UK will want to see a PCR test instead.

1) Is a negative Antigen test enough to enter the UK? (along with my vacination proof & passenger locator form)

2) If not, does anyone know where I can get a PCR test & result in 12 hours in Vera?

Many thanks in advance :)

Regards,

Matt

The PCR test is preferred but NOT compulsory. The antigen is all that you require inorder to enter the UK given the circumstances that you describe. You will however need to be able to provide proof of the antigen test ie. stamped certificate/letter.

Hi

Yes it’s absolutely fine. We flew back to the UK on Monday ( 27fh). We purchased antigen tests and brought them with us. We did our swabs on Saturday and  received our “ negative “ confirmations by email

We had to show these at the check in desk at the airport together with our COVID vaccination confirmation.

Don’t forget to completed your passenger locator form on the UKGov website 48 hours before travel

This needs to have your Day 2 PCR reference number in it

Safe travels!

From 4th October (today) you do not need a PCR or Antigen test to return to UK, but still have to complete locator form with 2 day test when in the UK

I think you do not need the tests IF you are vaccinated.

I'm not sure this applys to anyone not vaccinated.

Yes you need to take a test unless you are double vaccinated and can prove it.

Only 40€ at the medical centre on the roundabout at the bullring in Vera...EV medical and result in 5 mins.  All irrelevant now as no longer needed so a wee saving.
