Hi,
Although we went in personally with our Solicitor, Vera Town Hall / Ayuntamiento de Vera is on www.vera.es with a page in English. Click on website and again on Services and fill in the page.
Hope that works.
Your IBI number is on your escitura (?spelling).
We pay both by DD from Bank as not always in Spain. Bins quarterly & IBI annually.
Season's Greetings,

Thanks not sure what my IBI number is or what escitura is. I will need to go through all my records. Thanks for your response and I hope you have a lovely festive period.

Hi again,
The escritura are your Deeds. If you don't have them your Solicitor should. Usually your Solicitor would/ should have arranged IBI & Rates when you purchased but having said that our Solicitor didn't arrange the IBI on either of our properties. 10 years on we were embargoed but gratefully only had to pay 4 back years plus fine. Outstanding.
Hope it all.works out.

The rubbish charge (basura) is not dealt with by Vera Council directly but by a central office based in Garrucha, called Agencia del Servicio de Administración Tributaria de Diputación de Almería.
We just recently went to them to change our bank details. (email: [email protected] or telephone them on +34 950 211 211, there is a lady there who can speak a decent amount of English) or the main website is hacienda.dipalme.org.
You will need to quote your NIE number in your correspondence.
Your IBI Urbana is dealt with by the Vera council and payment is taken in June and October so if you haven't paid it yet, it might be a couple of hundred euros plus penalties. You can email the council on the follow email address, they will pass it onto the correct department. [email protected], we mainly use this email address to get our valor castral amount in order to work out our non-resident tax (payable a year in arrears therefore 2017 was due by 31 December 2018). or you can telephone the council on +34 950 39 31 45.
Regards
Neil

My basura bills are currently paid by direct debit but I am changing banks and prefer in future to pay the bills myself.
Can someone who has done it advise me how to pay basura bills on the Diputacion de Almeria website? What details are needed and where can I find them?
Regards, Roy

You can email any one in the world if you have their Email address. Whether you get a reply or not is another question.
Better you going to the Town Hall personall and getting this done there personally.
Take all your relevant docs with you and get there as early as possible.
And keep pushing. If you know the lingo. Demanding your rights toughly but friendly.
Do all through DD off your bank acc.

Hi Roy
The best is to actually go to the basura office in Garrucha and do it person. They are located in Plaza de Pedro Gea next to the local police office.
