As far as I am aware it is for those over 80 or people with underlying health problems only in Spain at present due to there being lower cases than the UK....They do say they are looking at it though. Trouble is unless you have a certificate for the dates and type of BOTH jabs the UK will not put you on their system... I know it says date of second on some Spanish ones, so logically you must have had a first, but they need both dates! Only way around it is to book for your initial Covid jabs and only have one! Know a few who have done that.....

My wife and I had two Pfizer Inoculations in Vera in April and hope to get our booster jab soon. I am nearly 80 and am in the “at risk” group because of past hospitalisation in Almeria and ongoing medicines to keep my lukemia at bay.
Today I went to the Vera health centre and was told the booster is not available yet, but keep coming back. I was told by a teacher there that Heurcal Overa hospital may know more.
Does anyone have any information that may help us get our booster jabs?
Pedro Sanchez announced on 20th November that all over 69s would be eligible for booster, but did not give a timetable. In Andalucia from 22nd November all over 65s were eligible for booster provided minimum 6 months elapsed from second vaccination or 3 months if you had the single dose Jansen vaccination. In addition if you had the Jansen single shot vaccination you are eligible for a booster irrespective of age.
Getting appointments seems to be difficult either by telephone or direct at local health centre. My partner (under 50) had been vaccinated with Jansen and received text message appointment last week at vaccination centre in Huercal Overa (opposite bus station) although we are based in Vera Playa. After trying several times by phone and visits to medical centre her mother who is over 70 was unable to get an appointment, the advice being to keep trying. When we went to the centre in Huercal Overa we were told that prior to 12.00 pm you did not need an appointment if you were in a qualifying category. Partner’s mother handed over medical card and within minutes was receiving her booster dose as well. I’m not sure whether same would be true at other vaccination centres. Hope this helps.

Thank you for replying. Interesting. Did you book it at the Vera Health centre or online, or were you sent the appointment by the health authority?

They are working down the age groups. Currently vaccinating over 60s at Huercal Overa and Albox. Friends in Mojacar who are in their 60s have been told they will get their booster when 6 months have elapsed since 2nd jab
