Almond trees, where to buy?

Whatever you do DON'T buy from the farm shop on the Huercal Overa Poligono at the start of the road to Santa Maria. Purchased 50+ from them last year. On irrigation & only 2 actually grew. Inadequate root stock & dessicated.

Previous ones came from Totana, excellent stock.

Remember the holes need to be 1mx1mx1m & 8m apart.

We lost almost 100 in the last 2 years of drought.

Suppose to plant before 6/1/19.

If they are ungrafted then no more than 1€/ sapling. Then you graft at 2 yrs. If grafted then up to 3€ each.

There are pros & cons for both.

Hope you are getting a JCB to dig those holes. Usually 25-30€/hr but they will generally charge for getting there & back.
