Hi,

Does anyone know when the water will be switched back on? I hear that the pump was broken and as yesterday was a bank holiday no one was able to fix it. I'm up in the mountains so not sure if everyone is suffering

Hi Lisa, I went down to the town hall this morning to complain to the head guy there Juan Carlos and he said that it was repaired yesterday but then broke down again! he says hopefully it will be sorted tomorrow.

Hi y'all, its Tuesday and here in Urcal by Huercal Overa we've had no water since monday night, thankfully, hopefully it wont be long before things are back to normal.

We've heard everything from busrt water mains to broken pumps to "they turn the water off during summer hot spells to conserve water" which I find hard to comprehend when you cant drink the stuff.

Hi Chevy,

Has your water returned? If not, perhaps you should try the town hall to find out the real problem and ask when you will get water again.

Morning Lisa.

Our water returned in a trickle overnight to nothing by 7.30, wasnt much of a problem as just needed water bottle hair rinse and body wash, nice as ever to see partner naked lol, but need to pop into the Huercal Overa town hall to see whats going on.

Girlfriend is off to a Bodega /wine tasting for the next few hours so not a problem for her, I'm homesitting waiting for the guys from lifestyle enclosures to do some final measuring before they fit a new pool enclosure so its me and Fanta orange for a bit lol.

Hopefully, fingers and toes crossed supply will be returned soon.

Hate to think its off as long as yours. Tho a neighbour did say we're first off and last on being at the end of the supply line !!.

At least the suns shining lol.

Have a great day or as much as poss.

Hi everyone. Latest from the town hall in velez Rubio is that the parts for the burst pipe that they need arrived this morning so according to them the water should be on this afternoon. Where have we heard that before. It's now 2 weeks. On our return to the house there was a note from casa Joya trying to rally everyone together to try and get this sorted. Their email address is [email protected]. Must be reall awful for them being a business. Sarah

Hi Sarah/Lisa

Here in Urcal we got a good trickle this lunch time, good enough to use the washer and dishwasher and the pool top up but not all at the same time lol, hopefully the pressure gets stronger and we get back to normality.

Hope ya'll in Rubio get sorted quickly.

Was floating in the pool before ours went off and remarked to partner how much we dont think about water, it can give you enjoyment, sustain you, but also kill you if youre not careful lol.

No Sarah, still none. Town hall said today, maybe tomorrow or Friday, as starting to fill up water deposits. Not sure what's what really  a guy called Fernando at the town hall, said that the water station did not belong to them so they have found a new source. Basically, he said, we need to be patient because all the pipes need to fill up and filter through to the homes.
