Hi I have recently moved to Velez Blanco and have an issue with my Fagor Compact Plus boiler as it won’t generate hot water. The manual is in Spanish and does not translate correctly into English using Google Translate. There is a red light on the control panel, underneath a flame symbol with a line through it. Any suggestions would be gratefully received!

I just googled "Fagor Compact Plus boiler" and lots of manual options came up, so if you have the exact model number details you may find one in English.
Difficult to diagnose from your photo, but do you need to turn the rotary knob? The dot may be the off position. The crossed out flame being lit may mean you have no gas supply. Empty bottle? Just thoughts, probably wrong!

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I did try searching for English manuals on the web but they all appear to be in Spanish. I changed the gas bottle which was pretty much empty. I did eventually get it going again but only by switching the heater off, running the hot water tap and with the water still running switching the unit back on again. I need to get it serviced, if you know a competent gas fitter I would be grateful for contact details.

I use a company called Hamilton Leon in Lorca. Mike Hamilton is the British face, Blas Leon runs the Spanish workforce. They have a heating engineer, David (Spanish), very nice bloke, who fitted a new gas combi boiler for me last year. Mike is on 609 47 46 59. It may be that a heating engineer could still be working at the moment. Mention my name if you call them!
