Hi ,

Can anyone tell me if it would be hard to get a permit for building a pool?

Most real estate brokers we have spoken to, don’t really seem to know much about this (or they don’t care). Most of the time we get the answer “yes ofcourse , you can build a pool anywhere”

Any info would be much appreciated,

Ron

Hi,

Our understanding is that it is becoming increasingly difficult legally but maybe just area.

May I suggest you e mail either or both of the following for formal opinions.

CAT SERVICES. LA ALFOQUIA, HUERCAL OVERA. &

Amanda Oakley of Alo Legal Services, Zurgena.

Estate agents may well mislead you.

Hope it works out & Season's Greetings,

Bob and Sandra

I fully agree with Bob, only yesterday I was speaking to someone from Taberno who said the local officials don't like granting planning for pools.

However, as I understand it above ground de-mountable pools are ok anywhere as planning is not required - class discuss as I may have been mis-informed?

I'd seek expert advice, as Bob says

Best,

Chris

You will need planning permission from the Townhall, pay the tax and if you live on an urbanization with a community of owners you will need to list the proposed pool for the AGM annual meeting.

If the community do not agree you will have to consider appealing to the local court to override their decision.

Not of it is easy, many pools were built without planning permission.

Do not make this mistake, the fines are huge.

Good luck and seasons greetings.
