Property Help

Hi.

A very close friend of mine, Richard King, has sadly passed away from cancer, a long protracted illness that prevented him returning to his property in Velez Blanco.

Unfortunately, Richard's wife Bridget, who lives in Bristol UK, is also not in the best of health, so the stress of loosing Richard and dealing with the aftermath has taken its toll.

Bridget has asked me to help her deal with the property in Velez Blanco. As neither myself or Bridget can read or write Spanish, I have joined this forum to see if I can enlist the help of a local person to mediate between us and the property before we visit, so as to avoid any surprises.

Can or is anyone willing to help?

if you are intending to sell the property for her then Spanish Property Choice of Channel 4 fame the Garners work in the area and are English so they may be an option for help. Sad circumstances for the lady concerned.

Thank you for the information on the Gardner's, a great option, as I am sure Bridget will now sell the property.

It is very sad, as Richard and Bridget bought in Spain for their retirement, and we in France. Their dream cut very short.

Many thanks David for your help, as this task is not one I am enjoying. It is heartening to have received positive help from forum members.

Yes it has been very hard and sad for all to cope with such a loss. Only serves to reinforce that we all must live for today, as tomorrow is a lottery.

I have relayed your suggestion to Bridget, and she is consulting her son on what to do.
