Hi All, my husband & I have just purchased an apartment in Turre. We brought it fully furnished but we have some items we will be looking to get rid of. We also have general heavy waste like a plastic tree, tiles etc. Does anyone know how we can dispose of there please?

Many thanks

So 2 matters there.

So unwanted items you can sell on the various forums. This one and the plethora of local Facebook forums.

For removal etc.then

Wayne & Tracey 666 22'66 25

10€/hr +'fuel.

By all means mention Dr. Bob and Sandra

Any other queries then happy to help especially working white.goods which I collect for charities.

Large.items can be taken to the ordinary bins on the 6th & 20th of any month. People.often just dump indiscriminately at bins but if reported can be fined.

Best Wishes,

Bob and Sandra

Hi,

My/our pleasure and pls be aware.that these 2 individuals are friends of Sandra & myself. Genuine people. After 15 years one becomes quite cautious.

Every best wish & hope it all works out,

You can leave any household waste, beds furniture, white goods outside the waste bins on the eve of the 6th & 20th of every month, they will be assessed by the refuse collectors and they will arrange collection on or after the 7th & 21st of each month. This a new law applying across the whole of Spain.

Very generous meaning no more trips to the refuse yard or illegal dumping.

However, do not leave such items on any other day, as you will be heavily fined if caught or ' shopped'.

Many thanks for your reply. We had heard you could get fined but didn't realise it could be a hefty one so very good advice.

Thank you !!!

Does the 'any household waste' include a) old tiles and b) the odd lump of concrete from stripping my kitchen out?

Now I would not wish to make any false claims.but are aware that many would or.even fly tip in the nearest rambla.

May I suggest you e mail

[email protected] and the lovely staff will answer you almost immediately.

Better to be safe than sorry.

Best wishes as ever,

Hi Bob,

Didn't get a reply from the e-mail addy so did some research.

There's a place round the back of the Antas Industrial estate where you can tip for a fee, nice people and cheap too
