Hi Billy,

I moved to Turre 6 months ago, its a lovely place to live. There is an expat community but the town remains very Spanish. Numerous bars and restaurants. Great local market on Fridays, good way to meet new people as everyone tends to go to the bars after shopping! We have a bus service that goes into Mojacar, only runs three times a day but better than nothing. We have tennis courts, running track and boules courts. Also regularly exercise classes at the football stadium. As for the weather, it does get chilly on a night and recently had dreadful storms, but can't really complain as it's much better than the UK.

Good luck for the future and if you need anymore info just contact me.

Jane

Turre has a Boules court ? We have one at the back of our double plot in Urcal plus a private pool lol.

Plus total peace calm and quiet except for the occasional guard dog or car/truck.

Coming inland, 40 minutes from the coast, 7 minutes from the A7/E15 and 12 minutes from Huercal Overa, with its two weekly markets we couldnt be happier but then again, no bus service tho strangely theres a new-ish bus stop/shelter in the village.

Lots seem attracted to/by Turre, I go to a camera club meet once a month and like the look of all the small bars/cafes etc and the fact its not seemingly too big.

A post I saw the other day about making new friends brought up 4 people/couples within doors of each other in the same apt block who might never have come to know each other if it werent for the site !!
