Does anyone know if sleep apnea machines are available on the Spanish health system

Yes, they certainly are (assuming you hold a Spanish health card) I have had one plus two oxygen concentrators (a static and a portable plus a large bottle of oxygen in case of power failure) for some years now. The Spanish health system is far superior to that in the UK and as for visits to the doc, well same day appointment is usually the case in Cuevas del Almanzora.
