Taken from another post on this forum:-
The Royal Decree issued today says citizens will only be able to use public roads for the following reasons:
1. Acquisition of food, pharmaceuticals and basic necessities.
2. Visits to health centres.
3. Travel to the workplace to perform work or business-related activities.
4. Return to the place of habitual residence.
5. Assistance and care for the elderly, minors, dependents, people with disabilities or especially vulnerable people.
5 Visits to financial entities.
6. Any other activity of an analogous nature duly justified.
Jumped in a bit quick again Mathew, keep reading the Rumpole novels as your legal training is on going. The decree clearly says " roads", fieilds and ramblas are not roads.

Hi, I'm new to this site and this is my first post. Arrived in Spain last Thursday and now confined to my apartment. Luckily didn't hire a car so if someone offers me a lift to Mojaca to go shopping would that be allowed? To get exercise I plan to do a small shop at Super Turre but will walk the long way round. Haven't got a dog but could buy a dog leash and if stopped could always say I've lost my mutt.
Stay safe everyone?
Best regards.
Tony.

You are allowed to walk to the shops or bank or chemist but getting a lift is out of the question so your alternative is communicating with someone to shop for you. Paying is a problem. Take away services for food are allowed to be open and only accept payment by card but I don't have any knowledge of any that might exist in your area. Perhaps someone else will . In my opinion restaurants will have to survive becoming takeaway services with no eating on the premises. Good luck!

Thanks for that, so my shopping will have to be little but often. Killing two birds with one stone, ie getting in food and exercising.

I know it's difficult for you and others. You're supposed to go unaccompanied as well! Hopefully, vans selling fish, fruit and veg and bread, may serve your area but be very careful as sometimes it's dishonest folk who want to see whos living where etc. If you get my meaning, although certainly not always. Maybe someone may think of parking a food van in your urbanisation if you are living in one. The town hall may park a drinking water container lorry near where you live as it will be impossible for you to carry the water which you will need.

This is irresponsible attitude, the reason for lockdown is to stop people going out as much as possible so stopping contact and possibility of spreading the virus, Dogs need to go out but your supposed to take them out for as little time as possible and stay close to your home.

Who's attitude is irresponsible? Tonyt has to go to the shops and it will be a long walk, therefore he is killing two birds with one stone: exercise and shopping for food. He has no other choice as he is without a car and isn't supposed to ask for a lift.!

Donna, you gave no evidence for your assertion, which I believe is untrue.
The Decree issued two days ago on Saturday permits access to a hairdresser, a vet, a pharmacy, a doctor, food store outlets, tech establishments, etc. What evidence do you have that the decree has been subsequently altered?
As I said, there is a good reason for hairdressers being accessible but it does not mean that anyone just wanting a haircut will receive service.

Donna is right. The change was on the Spanish news yesterday because apparently no hairdresser can keep the safe distance and could infect or be infected. Care workers are allowed still and could do it. How long for I don't know as they can't be guaranteed either. This is all new ground for the governent in every country in Europe.
