When we move over I will be bringing my Harley Davidson, obviously I'll need to register it to Spanish plates, had anyone done this with a bike and are there any problems regarding non standard parts such as bars and pipes? Any advice would be appreciated 🏍️

Hi Andy,

I bought my KTM Duke 390 over here. The Spanish wanted some 900 euros to matriculate onto Spanish registration.I guess  a Harley would cost even more to change over......? I wouldn't think  it's very difficult to mechanically to alter but most of the money seems to be for administrative purposes. In the end I had it shipped back and sold it in the UK and now have a Spanish registered Honda 600 CBF....

Thank you, I've been looking and Harleys seem really expensive over there so might have to bite the bullet, how are the authorities about non standard pipes etc?

Really don't know about that Andy but I know the authorities are usually not keen on anything non standard over here....

Hi Andy

We brought 2 bikes over and had no problem with changing them to Spanish plates. We used a really good gestor in Vera. As for pipes, Eric has had to change his pipes much to his disgust as they are really strict about loud pipes. Seems odd as loud pipes save lives as they can be heard.
