It depends on what you like.  I personally think it's beautiful, and although it seems remote is only 4 kms to the motorway, easier to get to Almeria and unspoilt beaches in the Cabo de Gata park.  If you must have lots of bars, restaurants and shops within walking distance then obviously don't think of looking there, but a take a 10 minute drive, direction Almeria, there are a couple of good restaurants and there are excellent supermarkets in Campohermoso (Lidl, Maxidia and Mercadona) no more than 25 minutes in the car or also Mercadona in Carboneras, where there's a large Thursday market.  Mizala hasn't been spoiled yet, thank goodness!

Totally agree!!! I wasn't trying to make it sound bad! It is lovely if that's the kind of nice quiet place your wanting.

Juanida explained the area pretty bang on!

Oh, I forgot to say that if the property you are looking for is in the hamlet and not in the valley, a van comes every Friday selling fish and also one comes to sell bread.  I think a veg & fruit man comes also now and then.  Rubbish collection twice a week.  Also, there are no pig farms.

Just so you know,  as far as I am aware, it's not my house you're looking at so I'm not trying to convince you!

I've only just joined the forum - but was interested to see Mizala mentioned!

We have a property nearby but we're sadly not there right now.  Did you buy somewhere there?

Hi there!

Have you bought Barry and Anna's house (2nd on the left entering Mizala) or is it Colin´s house on the right?  There are other new people in Mizala as from recently,  I imagine it has been difficult for them to make much contact with neighbours because of Covid etc, but moving in and sorting things out seems to have kept them busy.

We are outside Mizala in the valley, about 1.5 km further on.  I hope you'll be very happy here as we have been since we moved in to our cortijo 18 years ago.
