hi its a uk double bed size as its a uk mattress, but will measure it properly for you and get back to you on that, its not too hard or too  soft, you would have to see it for yourself and judge it right for you, I have never used it. you are welcome to come and have a look, if you want to send me a personal email and I will send you phone number, thanks jasper
