health insurance for the purpose of applying for residency

Hi, my family and I intend to move to Spain and are currently attempting to seek the required medical health cover to suffice the residency application. I have been informed we require 'full' cover. I would be most grateful if anyone could provide potential costings for a family of four, suggest companies to contact, or provide any helpful advice surrounding the same. I have been told that we require cover for a 12 month period. As I am not old enough to avail of an S1 form I have no choice but to purchase health insurance. Many thanks for any advice, much appreciated.

We got a quote from Tailor Made Health Care Solutions Spain.

They have a policy that's especially for residency.

You enter your details online and they get back to you with a quote very quickly.

We are of ages 56 & 69 and the quote is €215 per month for both.

If one of you is 69 are you not entitled to the S1 form which would give you both free healthcare here

Yes, you are correct, if registered before 01/01/2021. If not you need private health insurance.

What worries us though is that UK government is saying that all reciprocal health care agreements may be removed soon.

But those that are set before 31/12/20 are protected by the Withdrawal Agreement. As of 1/1/21 UK government is removing reciprocal health cover, but any S1 provided pre end of transition period is protected by WA
