Hi

My partner and I are looking to buy a holiday home that we may eventually move to when we retire (not for ten years or so) We have seen a few properties in the Turre / Sierra Cabrera area which look lovely and the scenery /  views there look amazing. We are looking for somewhere authentically Spanish but with some expats. Are there other areas that We should look at that have similar scenery? We don’t want to be too remote but to have those views and live a more relaxed Spanish lifestyle would be a dream come true!

We won’t actually buy until we can visit and current Covid Travel restrictions Prevent this for work reasons. thanks so much in advance for any information or advice

Cathy

Hi Cathy

Myself & my wife have been going to Sierra Cabrera and Mojacar for years and were lucky enough to buy a place in Cabrera a few years ago. Its not authentically Spanish, more Moorish themed, but has a great community spirit, with a mix of UK Expats and other Northern Europeans, a great small bar/restaurant, a lovely Moroccan restaurant and another with fantastic views, tennis courts/club, pentaque, etc, regular social events (if you care to join in), great walks, wild boar, goats...as well as other facilities in the valley below in Cortijo Grande (another great spot). We love them both.

Good luck with your search
