Hi could any one advise/recommend who to contact for the best & most competitive buildings & contents insurance cover for our 2 bed apartment. We shall just be using it for the next 6 mths as a holiday home but will be there permanently by Easter thankyou

We use Maxine Morgan at Forget Me Not on the Las Buganvillas roundabout between Garrucha and Vera. She is an agent for Liberty Seguros. We've not had to make a claim yet so don't know how good that experience is but so far we're happy with the service she provides. http://maxinemorganinsurance.com/

We are with Liberty Seguros but with Ged on Mojacar Playa. Happy with the instant feedback and attention & in that all our valuables are covered at least in the home.

You have to go with a Brit Company like Abbeygate to have 'All Risks' as one is used to in UK.
Whatever you do avoid Allianz. Brokers just ignore you and still owed 1800€ from last claim which was when I changed to Ged. Had a burst boiler & response from Ged was instantaneous.

I agree with Dr.Bob, Abbeygate.
Tried others, researched others but Abbeygate has best English type policy and competitive rates for building and contents.
Word of warning, when I checked habitation times Abbeygate were the only ones that offered Full Cover whilst not resident, ie as a holiday home.
When I found out this anomaly I had to change from the well known Spanish one I had been with for five years.
Read the small print or ask the question whoever you decide to go with. Regards Al
