Hello everyone .

My wife and I are considering moving to spain, full time in around 2022.

I’m trying to get a feel of how the private healthcare is in Spain and the general, average cost . We do have some existing health problems . Heart and fibromyalgia, which I believe aren’t covered if we move out to spain, unless anyone can tell me any different ?

Many thanks

Season's Greetings,

Maybe better if you access the following Providers directly for objective info.

I remember talking to our Liberty Seguros broker in Mojacar & he said that cover would be offered but excluding the identified existing pathology. However emergencies from same were covered. Seemed a mine field to me.

The various banks also offer Private Healthcare schemes.the

You must confirm where your Private GP is located & the hospital as sometimes the distances are ridiculous.

Saludos,

Bob and Sandra

We got our private medical insurance (a requirement for residencia if you are under retirement age) from our bank Santander in Spain.

total cost was 1500 Euros for the 2 of us for 12 months.
