Hi I have recently acquired a fishing license and am now looking for advice on what are the best baits to use and best times and places for fishing?

Thanks in anticipation

The Spanish use crusty French sticks, cut into small balls with 6 small hooks in it,I was shown how to do it,it's a bit completed, but got the hang ov it in the end,the bread has to be at least 7days old and very crusty,(cut off the crust 1st.cut the French stick into 8-12 pieces. Then make a noose and wrap the hooks all the way around the ball,(digging in the hooks as you go around it.)it stays on the hooks for about 1hr,our till the fish eat it,I works great,I've caught hundreds over the years this way when I'm there.i so miss my fishing, that's all I do when I'm in Spain. The best place I find is.Mecanes, very quite and not to touristy,as you can't fish in area at times of the year mojacar.

I've tried all the fresh bait from the tackle shops, but with no joy.bread rolls all day 4 me.5 for peanuts in mercadonas. My advice would be to chat to a Spanish fisherman like I did on the beach.i learned a lot and can't wait to get back the and fish again.

Sorry Tony think I spelt it wrong, here is a map,the little chiringuito,is quality it's a little shack on the beach that serves lovely food daily, and all refreshments after a hard day's fishing.

Anywhere on that strip is great fishing ,but I tend to fish near the rocks on the left of the  chiringuito,it a lovely bit of coast line and not very touristy even in season. But the spainish tend to fish there around 5/6pm onwards.

Good luck let me no how you get on...can't wait to get back there this year after 2years away with cov19 regs.🤞
